Garden update 5/25/16

garden

Things are going swell I truly believe Summer’s here now, my girl loves sand baths in the summers sun. Her and I have been plugging away! Pay days this week so I’m hoping to get a lot more plants installed.

One of my followers reccomended reaching out to a tree service company for free mulch. It just so happens my neighbor owns a company hat does that. He’s always hauling a big chipper with him. I went to chat with him yesterday and he said some time this week or next hes going to give me a whole trailer full! It’s not the decrotive mulch with dyes and what not. It’s the natural! I’m so hype once I get that spread you all just wait!

Pictured above is my herb box, cilantro and basil doing good! Parsley is in there somewhere too. I didn’t know this but cilantro will begin to flower and seed and the seeds are actually a different spice. The seeds are called coriander, I had no idea hahahah!! Please share anything you think of as I’m new to this whole thing too!
Please enjoy stay swift and be easy baby.

VIDEO: First of The Plants In the Ground, Garden 2016

garden, Videos

It’s finally time, I brought my plants out from the indoor closet set up I crafted together. and let them into the environment. I wish I had eased them into it because I fear the cold nights my stress them out a little bit. I also wish I had invested in some topsoil + cow manure to fertilize before planting. Anyways it is what it is you live you learn.

Keep it real all.

Down with the old coop in with the new coop

chicken coop, Compost Pile

Hey all I got some time to finally complete the chickens new residence! They are living good in this quant lil toasty shack. Waters clean and the food plentiful. Got to smash up the old eyesore of a “coop” where they used to live.

All that rich fertile chicken scat made its way to the compost pile before demolitionthe birds were setting into there new breezy lower level. Seem to be liking it, I already got one eggs out of the new nesting box location.
That rich fertile chicken poo will provide bountiful yields this year. People say that chicken poop can burn your plants however I’m not sure that’s the case, others online report the opposite.

Lots of people say aging the manure is best choice for good results. I guess just try try and try again. You’ll figure out what works out back there yonder.

Keep on trucking
